Jaylen Waddle ruled out for Broncos game. Dolphins elevate Robbie Chosen

The Dolphins on Saturday ruled out wide receiver Jaylen Waddle for Sunday’s home opener against the Denver Broncos. Miami also elevated wide receiver Robbie Chosen and linebacker Cameron Goode from the practice squad for the Week 3 matchup.

Waddle was originally listed as questionable because of a concussion. He returned to practice on Friday and was limited after sitting out sessions on Wednesday and Thursday. Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel was noncommital on whether Waddle would play if he clears concussion protocol in time for the game.

It’s the first elevation for Chosen, a South Florida native who signed with the team in April. Chosen was released as part of roster cuts in late August but soon re-signed to the team’s practice squad.

It’s the third and final elevation for Goode, who has played 25 defensive snaps in the first two games of the season. After Sunday’s game, the Dolphins will have to sign Goode to the 53-man roster or he will revert to waivers after another elevation.
