Don Lemon loses it on Sen. Tim Scott for 'woke supremacy' comment: 'What are you doing?'

Don Lemon was unable to control his anger on CNN Tonight Wednesday when he unloaded on South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, the only Black Republican in the Senate, for saying a day earlier on Fox News, “Woke supremacy is as bad as white supremacy.” Lemon was at a loss for words for a moment, and spoke calmly at first when he pointed out some incredibly large differences between white supremacists and “woke” individuals.

“I’ve never seen a woke supremacist lynching anybody,” Lemon said. “Never saw a woke supremacist denying anybody access to housing or a job or education or voting rights. Never saw any woke supremacists enslaving anybody. Never saw any woke supremacists trying to keep people from marrying amongst different races.”

But that was about as long as Lemon could maintain his composure, as he reminded Scott that many white supremacists, not “woke supremacists,” wearing or carrying white supremacist symbols, stormed the Capitol on January 6 and attacked Capitol police.

“I didn’t see any woke supremacists storming the…blanking Capitol,” Lemon said. “Where are the woke supremacists attacking police? Where are the woke supremacists hunting police officers in the halls of the Capitol and beating them with Blue Lives Matter signs, with white supremacist insignias on their shirts and carrying white supremacist paraphernalia? Guess who I saw. Guess who police officers were beaten by. Guess who wanted to hang the Vice President. White supremacists, Tim Scott! What are you doing?! The only Black Republican, were the woke supremacists carrying the Confederate battle flag in the nation’s Capitol, Tim Scott? Tim!”
