Don Valley Parkway closed to traffic this weekend
Drivers heading into or out of downtown this weekend should be aware that the Don Valley Parkway will be closed for fall maintenance.
The DVP will close to traffic in both directions starting at 10 p.m. Friday. It will re-open to traffic on Monday at 5 a.m.
A city of Toronto news release said the closure is required to perform work that includes:
- Clearing and repairing catch basins.
- Fixing signs, guardrails and traffic cameras.
- Inspecting bridges.
- Repairing culverts.
- Removing litter.
Drivers can use Don Mills Road, Bayview Avenue, Victoria Park Avenue and Kingston Road as alternative routes during the closure.
