Trump's Thanksgiving Turkey Pardoning Gets Roasted On Twitter
The online roasting of President Donald Trump over his pardoning of the White House Thanksgiving turkeys is becoming something of an annual tradition.
Trump granted clemency to a 39-pound bird called Peas and its sibling Carrots in a Rose Garden ceremony on Tuesday.
Twitter users soon pounced on the event to take aim at the Trump administration’s policies and scandals:
The White House turkeys should not be named “Peas and Carrots.” They should be named “Indictments and Arrests.”

Trump may not pardon a turkey this year because he wants to save his “turkey pardon” for Don Jr.

“Peas and carrots, peas and carrots” is what actors say (or mouth) when they need to imitate human speech — but without saying anything meaningful.

PRESIDENT TRUMP PARDONS A TURKEY. I think this is one case where the comedians can just let the headline speak for itself.

"Peas" and "Carrots" are really the Secret Service code names for Donnie Jr. and Jared.

How funny would it have been if just at the end of announcing the turkey pardons, he just tossed in a bunch of names of people who worked on his campaign before walking off?

OBAMA: Thanks for the invitation, you're a gracious host
TRUMP: How do you like the turkey?
OBAMA: It's delicious, and so tender
TRUMP: I spent 3 million dollars tracking down the one you pardoned two years ago— Elle ⚪h Hell (@ElleOhHell) November 20, 2018
