AMANDA TERKEL: Well Joe Biden, obviously, is embracing the racial equality protest. And he-- he has hit back and sort of been on the defensive a bit as Donald Trump is like, Joe Biden wants to defund the police. Biden is saying, no, I don't want to defund the police. And I will say that, you know, Biden has been making far less of an issue of this than Donald Trump has. You know, Donald Trump wants to talk about anything except the coronavirus.

And so you saw over the summer that Trump was running quite a few ads about-- he was running a lot of ads on China, but he was also running a lot of ads on crime and trying to say that, you know, look, Biden is very extreme and if you elect him you will see rioting and looting in your streets. And was being, quite honestly-- sorry-- openly racist. I was going to sneeze there. Quite honestly being openly racist, saying that people like Corey Booker-- who is obviously a prominent Black Senator-- will come in and, you know, create housing projects and take over the suburbs. You know, Black voters obviously aren't being won over by Donald Trump. But it seems like that this message isn't working with the sort of white suburban voters that Trump wants to win over as well.
