We all know how Don't Tell the Bride works by now: the groom gets given a budget and blows most of it on an extravagant stag do for him and his mates, leaving absolutely no money for the hen do, the dress, or even the wedding itself. The bride isn't happy about it, and ponders calling the whole thing off, but eventually goes through with it.

Last night's (February 24) episode was no different, but perhaps was one of the most extreme examples of a groom throwing the money into the wrong things we've seen on the show in a while. No wonder they made it a 90-minute special.

Andrew's bride Anna is from Ukraine, and he has decided that their wedding should be a traditional one in her home country. Unfortunately, she wants a ceremony a posh British manor house.

His traditional ideas extended to the dress, but his budget definitely didn't. Anna opened up her dress to find that it contained gaudy red parts, was practically see through, all the beading was coming off, and it only cost him £150.

"I don't think the person who made that dress, likes that dress," she told the camera, while looking clearly devastated.

Her bridesmaids were similarly dressed like 'elves', as they put it, while the hen do took place in a snooker hall with a measly £100 put behind the bar.

Meanwhile, Andy's stag do took up most of their budget, and involved the lads hanging out with dolphins. No wonder she almost called the whole thing off.

Fans had some pretty strong reactions to the episode:
