Police arrest three males in connection to east Windsor double-stabbing
Becky Dodge is holding her children a little closer after a double stabbing left two people with serious injuries in her east-Windsor neighbourhood early Thursday morning.
Two people were sent to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries following the incident, which police say happened at a home on Jefferson Boulevard near Rose Avenue around 1 a.m.
One person has since been released, while the other remains in hospital in stable condition.
"I just hope everyone is OK," said Dodge. "It's tragic, especially being so close to home when I have two little kids … it worries me."
Many residents in the typically quiet neighbourhood said they woke up Thursday to find a crime scene on their doorstep. Yellow police tape surrounded the home with an officer posted outside — the door to the house was still open.
Susan Desantis got out of bed in the middle of the night to find an officer at her door.
"He said there had been a fight down the street," she said. "I came out and saw like three police cars and one policeman with a dog ... next door and in the field across the street."
Three men aged 23, 30 and 42 from Windsor have been charged with assault with a weapon.
The 23 and 30-year-old men have also been charged with aggravated assault, while the 42 year old is also charged with assault causing bodily harm and breach of probation.
