Drake causes priceless Blake Griffin reaction at ESPYs

Canadian rapper Drake caused a social media stir with some his jokes Wednesday night at the annual ESPY awards in Los Angeles.

Drake, who is also a global ambassador for the Toronto Raptors, saved some his best material for the NBA stars.

Los Angeles Clippers big man Blake Griffin couldn’t hold it together when Drake took a shot at embattled owner Donald Sterling.

"The Kings won their second Stanley Cup in three years, right here in downtown L.A.," Drake said. "In fact, we're just a couple hundred yards from Staples Center, which also happens to be as close as Donald Sterling is allowed to get."

Drake also parodied boxing icon Manny Pacquiao singing styles.

Staying with the boxing theme, Maria Sharapova made Floyd Mayweather look somewhat vertically challenged while they were both at the podium together.

Of course it wasn't all jokes at the ESPYs.

Stuart Scott, one of ESPN's most recognized anchors, was honoured for his distinguished career as a sports journalist and his fight against cancer. He delivered an inspirational acceptance speech when he received the Jimmy V award for perseverance.

Michael Sam, the first openly gay football player to be drafted in the NFL, also provided an uplifting moment at the show when he received the Arthur Ashe Award.
