Drew Barrymore Relatably Said She Doesn’t Have “Bandwidth” for Men

In a September 16th interview with Jane Fonda for her brand-new talk show, Drew Barrymore agreed with Fonda that she's swearing off men, claiming she just doesn't have the "bandwidth" to form any relationships. And, uh, we feel that.

"Recently you've said you're swearing off men," Barrymore said during her interview with Fonda on The Drew Barrymore Show, adding, "I think I'm there and have been there for the last five years."

"You're too young to swear off anything," Fonda advised. She, herself, has committed her recent years to friends, family, philanthropy, and activism, rather than romance. "You've gotta stay open to anything, Drew," Fonda added.

Barrymore corrected herself stating, "I'm not closed for business, but I have been exactly in that mentality for the past five years, thinking I just don't have the bandwidth, I don't know if I'm willing to open [up,] I just can't fit it in."

"Well," Fonda said, "you can squeeze a little affair or two in there." God, we love her.

Barrymore was married to Will Kopelman between 2012 and 2016. Together, she and Kopelman had two children—Olive and Frankie. Before that, she was married to Tom Green and, back in 1994, to bar owner Jeremy Thomas. However, Barrymore is clearly fine with taking time off from the dating scene, an act that Fonda, whose last marriage to Ted Turner ended in 2001, has mastered.

Fonda was linked to producer Richard Perry up until 2017. But now, she and Barrymore are seemingly in the same boat. Men take up time, and that's just not a resource either are willing to spend.

Ladies, go off and stay open to affairs. That's the best advice one could get.
