Drew Barrymore shocks Gwyneth Paltrow with question written on underwear: 'What has happened to this show?!'
Paltrow also said Barrymore's everyday panties are as big as "a sailboat sheet."
Drew Barrymore is getting to the bottom of things with her longtime pal Gwyneth Paltrow.
During Friday's episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the host stunned the actress by pulling out her underwear mid-interview to reveal a question for her to answer as part of her recurring Fast Five segment. Earlier in the show, Barrymore had explained that it was "tradition" for the pair to talk about undies after she previously showed off a pair of her "granny panties" when Paltrow last visited TDBS in 2023.
Turning to the audience, Paltrow remarked, "No, you guys have no idea how big her underwear are. They're incredible."

And, just in case anyone was worried, she confirmed that the underwear Paltrow was holding weren't actually hers.
"Those would be so small for me," Barrymore teased.
Paltrow quipped, "By the way, I was going to say, your underwear are like a sailboat sheet — like a sail."
For her first question, Barrymore asked Paltrow to name a song that never fails to get her in the mood. “I know this is cliché, [but] 'Sexual Healing' by Marvin Gaye," the Iron Man star replied before pulling out another pair of undies.
"'What's the sexiest body part?'" she read. "I like abs. Is that bad? I'm very shallow."
Barrymore also asked Paltrow about her own underwear habits. "Do you ever go commando?"
When Paltrow responded that she does only when sleeping, the host replied, "Oh, good to know.
The response caught Paltrow's attention. "Are you gonna wake me up in the middle of the night?" she joked, prompting Barrymore to answer, "I'm just gonna text you and be like, 'You feeling that breeze?'"
Paltrow answered one last question about her spouse, writer-producer Brad Falchuk, and how he gives the best advice before Barrymore pointed out that only four pairs of underwear were in the bin despite the segment typically having five questions.
"Oh, don't do it," Paltrow warned, covering her face with her hands as Barrymore stood up and pulled her underwear up out of her skirt to reveal the final question.

To say the move shocked Paltrow would be an understatement. "What has happened to this show?!" she asked before reading the undies question aloud. "'If you could only wear one kind of underwear, what would you pick?'" She then motioned to Barrymore's panties. "Those."
An excited Barrymore replied, "You want my underwear? We can both fit in them! I’m not kidding."
This isn't the first time Barrymore has flashed her underwear during an interview. She also showed off a drugstore pair while talking to Kristen Stewart about thirst traps and manifesting sexiness into her life back in March.
