Drive-thru pot shop opens in Springwater

Would you like fries with that?

While some cannabis users may wish the new Tokyo Smoke pot shop would extend that offer, most will be thrilled they can pick up their orders at the drive-thru window.

“You can place your order online and then drive through and pick it up. It’s a real curbside pickup,” said Torey Peet, manager of the new shop on Carson Road.

Peet said the store was originally built to be a coffee shop but when the deal fell through, Bailey took advantage of the location just north of Barrie.

Offering everything — from cannabis-based oils, sprays and edibles to joints with varying amounts of THC and CBD — the store also sells canned beverages infused with cannabinoids.

“We have 175 listings now,” said owner Richard Bailey. “We’ll see what the community likes and then we can go as high as 400 products.”

The Tokyo Smoke franchise, a subsidiary of Canopy Growth, focuses its business on offering cannabis education to its customers while promoting a safe shopping environment.
