Driver flees Longueuil crash, leaves injured woman in car

Illegal drugs seized from St-Hubert home daycare

Longueuil police are looking for a man involved in an early morning hit-and-run.

At around 3:45 a.m., two cars collided on Jacques Cartier Boulevard West in Longueuil.

The force of the collision was enough to flip one car over, causing it to ricochet against other parked cars in the area.

After the crash, the driver fled the scene on foot, leaving an injured woman in the car. The female driver of the other car also suffered minor injuries, but both women are expected to survive.

Traffic was closed on the street for most of the morning, but has reopened now.

Longueuil police Const. Tommy Lacroix said investigators aren't sure why the man fled the scene, but suggested he may have been under the influence of drugs or didn't have a driver's license.
