Driver hits dirt berm, vaults vehicle into tree, then runs from scene, WA State Patrol says

A 25-year-old Aberdeen man ran from the scene of a single-vehicle wreck near Hoquiam early Sunday morning, the Washington State Patrol announced.

His three passengers were injured and took themselves to Harbor Regional Health in Aberdeen, troopers say.

About 2:45 a.m., the four men, ages 18 to 25, were headed north in a 2012 Mazda MZ6 on state Route 109, approaching Harborview Court, according to State Patrol.

Troopers say the vehicle crossed the southbound lane and entered the dirt shoulder. It then hit a “dirt berm and vaulted into a tree.”

The driver fled from the scene, according to State Patrol. All four men are from the area, the State Patrol information shows.
