Driver killed in crash on Burin Peninsula Highway
Royal Canadian Mounted Police on the Burin Peninsula are investigating a fatal crash on Route 210, south of Rushoon.
In a statement released Saturday afternoon, police said the single motor vehicle crash occurred around 2:45 a.m. on the main Burin Peninsula Highway.
No details have yet been released about the driver who was killed in the incident.
Police said the Baine Harbour Fire Department responded to a call of a burning vehicle in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Ground search and rescue crews assisted at the scene.
Police said the cause of the accident is not yet known.
