Crash involving stolen vehicle sends person to hospital with serious injuries: Regina police

Regina police say a crash late Monday evening that sent one person to hospital in serious condition happened when the driver of a stolen vehicle collided with the victim's vehicle.

Police say they received a call late Monday evening about a car stolen from the 3200 block of Montague Street.

Officers were initially dispatched to the scene, but were re-directed to another call. Those officers witnessed the driver of the stolen car speed by them heading north on Elphinstone Street, police said.

Moments later, the driver of the stolen car collided with another car at Dewdney Avenue and Elphinstone Street, police said.

The suspect who was in the stolen vehicle fled on foot while the driver of the other car was taken to the Regina General Hospital with serious injuries, police said.
