Drivers warned to stay safe over Easter weekend

Many people are traveling for the Easter long weekend, but authorities are reminding everyone to be careful.

There are usually about 2,000 crashes on B.C.'s roads over Easter weekend, according to the ICBC.

Road safety officials want to make sure you're not one of those statistics.

Their tips are :

Map your route ahead of time.

Be prepared for any weather changes.

Make sure your car is ready for the trip.

Keep your distance from other cars.
