Precipitation will continue to impact parts of the Prairies that are experiencing drought conditions. The rain will linger into Tuesday and some areas will have recorded over 50 mm since the soggy low pressure system began impacting the region. Details and timing, below.
WIDESPREAD RAINFALL CONTINUES ON THE PRAIRIES
On Tuesday, the low pressure that developed early Monday across Saskatchewan will finally trek into Manitoba, bringing with it much cooler temperatures and snowfall across Northern Manitoba, including Thompson.
Showers with 10-20 mm of additional rain will ease across southern Saskatchewan through Tuesday afternoon. Brief, heavy downpours are possible across Manitoba and gusty northwest winds up to 70 km/h are expected to develop by Tuesday evening.
On Wednesday, much of southern Manitoba has the potential to remain in the single digits for daytime highs, which is far from the upper 20 degree weather that the region saw on Monday.
