Dump truck, 18-wheeler involved in accident near two major Columbus roads, police say

The Columbus Police Department is reporting an accident involving a dump truck and 18-wheeler in north Columbus Wednesday afternoon.

The incident reported happened on J.R. Allen Parkway at Veterans Parkway, according to the department’s page on X, formerly Twitter.

The call came in at 1:51 p.m. on Wednesday, police told the Ledger-Enquirer.

Police asked people to avoid the area and take an alternate route if possible, according to the post.

All westbound lanes were still blocked just before 3:30 p.m., according to police.
