OTTAWA – Local MP Eric Duncan was re-appointed to the opposition Conservative Party’s shadow cabinet on November 9.

Duncan was re-elected in the September election as member of Parliament for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry.

CPC leader Erin O’Toole appointed Duncan Caucus Secretary. His new position will see him act as the go-between for the parliamentary group and the party’s national council.

“I have had the chance to work alongside Erin as our leader for the past 14 months and I am ready to get back with him into the House of Commons to tackle the many pressing issues our country is facing,” Duncan said in a press release last week.

As Caucus Secretary, Duncan will look after training for party MPs and staff, and provide input into the redistribution of seats in 2022.

This is his second appointment to the opposition shadow cabinet. Duncan has been MP in SDSG since 2019.
