DWTS Pro Sharna Burgess Reveals the ‘Really Difficult’ Celeb Partner She Couldn’t Even Be in the Same Room With

Dancing With the Stars pro Sharna Burgess has danced away with the Mirrorball trophy before… but she didn’t always love her celebrity partners.

Burgess reveals that she had a lot of friction with one partner in particular when they weren’t twirling together on camera. The season she returned after she and celeb partner Bobby Bones won the Mirrorball trophy, she “had a partner that was really difficult,” Burgess says in the debut episode of her new podcast Oldish. In fact, Burgess says: “I wasn’t able to be in the room alone with him after the first couple of weeks because of things that happened. And so that was rocky, and we were eliminated very quickly.”

Burgess doesn’t name the partner by name, but the next season Burgess appeared in after she danced with Bones, she was paired with actor Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives, Chesapeake Shores), with the pair getting eliminated in Week 5, finishing in 12th place. ABC did not respond to TVLine’s request for comment, but Metcalfe’s personal publicist tells TVLine: “If she is referring to a time where our client Jesse Metcalfe worked with Ms. Burgess four years ago, the only recollection was that they didn’t get along. Vague insinuations are not only reckless but also irrelevant.”

Burgess last appeared on DWTS in Season 30 alongside current boyfriend Brian Austin Green, but she says she was not invited back to be a pro in the upcoming Season 32, premiering Tuesday, Sept. 26 on ABC, also revealing on the podcast that “because it was such a shock, because I wasn’t expecting it, it was tough” not being asked back.
