Dwyane Wade Just Dyed His Hair Fire-Engine Red With His Daughter Zaya
We definitely didn't see this coming, folks, but Dwyane Wade is the latest celebrity to change up their hair color during quarantine. He went bold, too, with a bright red hue that's impossible to ignore. The 38-year-old retired basketball player debuted his new look this weekend in an Instagram post (so you know it's a big deal), and was also shown giving fans a glimpse of it on his wife Gabrielle Union's IG Stories.
As for what prompted the bold hair makeover? While we can't say for sure, it seems that Wade may have been convinced by his 12-year-old daughter, Zaya, who just dyed her hair cotton candy pink. Union posted a video clip of the father-daughter duo showing off their new hair colors at home with the caption, "@zayawade & @dwyanewade snapped." They couldn't be cuter — or cooler with their rainbow-haired looks.
In Wade's Instagram debut, he writes, "𝑊ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑘 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑦𝑜𝑢-- 𝑆𝑤𝑖𝑡𝑐ℎ 𝑖𝑡 𝑢𝑝! #𝐹𝑟𝑒𝑒 #𝑅𝑒𝑑𝐻𝑎𝑖𝑟𝐷𝑜𝑛𝑡𝐶𝑎𝑟𝑒🩸." The post has already amassed over 300,000 likes and a wellspring of comments from fans leaving messages like, "The red looks good ‼️" "Dwade has too much swag!!!! 🔥🔥" and "🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙌🏾👑." While there are some trolls hating on Wade's new look, the majority of feedback he's received so far has been positive.
There's no way of telling how long Wade will keep the red hair around, but we sure hope it's here for the summer.
