Fish eagle shows female surprising tenderness during mating

Osprey, also known as fish eagles, are Canada's second largest bird. They have a six foot wingspan and an impressive set of talons that are razor sharp. Mating with those talons is a tricky matter when it involves the male perching on the female's back. He knows his claws will seriously injure her. He curls them inward and gently lands on his elbows in a surprising display of tenderness. These birds mate for life. They share in the upbringing of the chicks and even bring each other food. This couple is definite proof that love is not limited to the human race!
