EastEnders reveals Chrissie bombshell in early iPlayer release

EastEnders has revealed a huge bombshell about Chrissie Watts’ past in the show’s latest episode.
This week, Sharon found herself in prison with her former stepmother, and while Chrissie played nice in the beginning, she was secretly plotting against her.
Chrissie managed to cause a riot among the other prisoners and while the guards were distracted, she led Sharon to another cell and aimed a weapon at her, promising to make her pay.

Today’s episode continued how yesterday’s instalment ended, with Sharon’s life still in danger. Chrissie wanted revenge for when she was arrested at the airport in 2005 – after Sharon, Phil and Grant informed the police.
After a tense confrontation about Den, Chrissie revealed that she was pregnant with Jake Moon’s baby when she first went to prison.
She explained that she was excited about the prospect of finally being a mother and that she and Jake had plans to run away together.
Chrissie had plans to tell Jake about the pregnancy from prison and ask to reconcile, but two weeks after finding out she was expecting, she lost the baby.

She told Sharon it was her fault that she miscarried, and Sharon admitted that she should have stood by her.
But this wasn’t enough for Chrissie, who boiled the kettle in the cell and prepared to harm Sharon using hot water.
Doreen arrived to defend Sharon, but she got injured in the process. Chrissie tried to pour water on Sharon, but she managed to get away before the guards interrupted the standoff.
Chrissie was set to be put in segregation until Sharon left prison, and Sharon was able to phone Phil and Albie.

Later, one of the guards told Sharon that the governor wanted to see her the next day. He urged her to speak up about Chrissie, and the rest of her time in prison would be made easier.
But Chrissie found out about Sharon’s meeting and used her own leverage to make sure she kept quiet.
"I’d hate him to hear what you got up to last Christmas," she said, referring to Keanu’s murder which she now knows about.
