Editor’s Edition: 'Do something that scares you' says fintech founder

As many Canadians continue to grapple with the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Eva Wong is hoping to make the process a little bit easier.

Wong is the chief operating officer and co-founder of Borrowell, a Toronto-based fintech startup that provides online tools to help Canadians improve their credit.

But Wong is not your typical startup founder. She spent more than a decade working as a management consultant before making the leap to join the startup in 2014. It was a career risk, but one she says was worth it.

On this episode of Editor’s Edition, Wong takes us through her journey from management consultant to fintech founder and the lessons she has learned along the way. She also provides advice for aspiring entrepreneurs, and explains why it's so important to "do something that scares you."
