Egypt's Trade Ministry lifts ban on rice exports

CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt's Ministry of Trade and Industry said on Sunday a ban on rice exports would be lifted and an export tariff of 2,000 Egyptian pounds($255.43) a tonne would be applied. A statement by the ministry said the decision top lift the ban would be valid for six months from the date of publishing it in Egypt's official gazette. ($1 = 7.8300 Egyptian pounds)
