Andrew Shue is enjoying life and his new romance.

The Melrose Place actor's sister Elisabeth Shue told E! News on Aug. 14 that her brother is currently doing "great" as his relationship with Marilee Fiebig continues. "He is very, very happy."

Andrew, 57, began seeing Fiebig in December, nearly one year to the date after both of their exes, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, were removed from the air on GMA3 for their relationship. While Robach, 51, and Holmes, 46, continue touting their relationship publicly, Andrew and Fiebig have kept their romance low-key in the nine months since PEOPLE learned that they began dating.

Last week, though, the actor gave a rare update on how he's doing during an appearance on Still the Place — a.k.a his former Melrose Place costars Laura Leighton, Courtney Thorne Smith and Daphne Zuniga's rewatch podcast.

"I'm doing very well," Andrew said. "I am very happy. My kids are all great, and I'm working on a project."

Updates on the couple have been few and far between, though a source told PEOPLE in February that they were still "going strong" two months after news of their relationship went public.

The source noted that Fiebig in particular "seems really happy with him."

Fiebig and Holmes, who were married for 12 years and share 11-year-old daughter Sabine, filed for divorce in December 2022, though they had allegedly been separated since August.

Robach, meanwhile, divorced Shue in March 2023, though they also allegedly separated in August 2022.

Despite keeping fans very up-to-date on their lives together, Robach and Holmes have never explicitly commented on their exes' relationship. In the days following the news, Holmes said on their Amy & T.J. podcast, "There's nothing we can do about those [headlines]."

"This place, this podcast, this platform is not and will never be... We are committed to a place that this is not gonna be about gossip, this is not gonna be a place where we clap back at headlines," he continued. "We are not going to get into that back-and-forth game because gossip is toxic."

In June, the former Good Morning America hosts acknowledged that they both have "shame" associated with their past relationship failures.

"Between the two of us sitting on this stage, there are now four divorces," Holmes said during a live recording of their podcast in New York City. "This is where the private shame comes in. We had very perfect-looking families and perfect-looking lives, and we were guilty at times of putting out an image of our lives that we know was not true."
