Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, made his debut on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" on May 8.

The tech billionaire's mom, supermodel Maye Musk, made an appearance in his monologue - and later in the show, his partner, the singer and producer Grimes, starred alongside him in one of the skits.

A clip of Grimes' short appearance can be seen below.

The full skit starred Musk as the Nintendo character Wario. Cast member Mikey Day played a lawyer trying to prove that Wario didn't murder his video-game nemesis, Mario. Grimes starred as the character Princess Peach, who was married to Mario.

Musk and Grimes, whose birth name is Claire Boucher, have been dating since 2018. They made their first public appearance as a couple at the Met Gala in May of that year.

Musk told The Wall Street Journal at the time that he loves Grimes for her "wild fae artistic creativity and hyper intense work ethic."

In February 2020, Grimes revealed she was pregnant, and in May 2020, she gave birth to a baby boy.

The couple named their son X AE A-XII.

After their son was born, Grimes tweeted a breakdown of what each character means: X is the "unknown variable," Æ is her "elven spelling of Ai," and A-12 is a type of CIA aircraft known internally as Archangel.

Grimes later took to an Instagram comment to break down the name's pronunciation: "It's just X, like the letter X. Then A.I. Like how you said the letter A then I."

In Musk's "SNL" monologue, he joked about his son's name, saying it's pronounced as: "Cat running across the keyboard."
