Employees Scramble After Truck Carrying Gas Explodes Outside Atwater Restaurant
Employees at a Panda Express in Atwater, California, scrambled to safety after a tanker truck carrying gasoline overturned and exploded outside their building on Tuesday, May 23.
The video from outside the restaurant, located near the intersection of Highway 99 and Applegate Drive. California Highway Patrol officials told ABC 30 the driver of the tanker was likely going too fast off the ramp, causing the truck to flip. The driver was killed.
