During an emergency debate on the impact of mass flooding in British Columbia on Wednesday, Green MP Elizabeth May stated that Canada had “entered the world of a climate emergency” and called for a “national effort” to tackle the climate crisis. “There's no one part of this country that is safe and secure, any more than one place on this planet is safe and secure in the climate emergency,” she said.
