Escaped child murderer caught after three-day manhunt in North Carolina

An escaped murderer who fatally shot a one-year-old girl on Christmas Day in 2015 has been captured after a three-day manhunt. Ramone Alston, 30, escaped from police custody last Tuesday after breaking free from his leg restraints in a medical transport van. Hundreds of law enforcement officers took part in a major search that led to his capture on Friday at a hotel in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
