Rob Brydon has suggested Succession favourite Matthew Macfadyen let slip a few season 3 spoilers during a recent chat they had.

Kicking back with Digital Spy to promote his YouTube interview series Rob Brydon &, the Welsh funnyman recalled his conversation with the Tom Wambsgans actor.

Apparently, when this episode hits the net, Brydon might have to "bleep out a few things" the pair discussed for fear of HBO's retribution.

"I just wanted to ask Matthew questions about Succession, about what's happening in the third season," he told us.

"And he was very resistant. But after a while, he did start to say a couple of things and then I suddenly got very protective of him thinking, 'Oh God, I don't want you to let anything slip on my YouTube channel. I don't want to be responsible for you slipping.'

"So we may have to bleep out a few things that he said because I think he does give a few little clues."

Several months ago, Macfayden shared his thoughts on how the hit comedy-drama's characters would deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

"I imagine Tom and Greg both would be terrible, terrible asymptomatic super-spreaders," he joked. "But I think Logan would be protected, maybe in a bunker somewhere in Geneva."

Succession airs on HBO in the US and NOW TV in the UK.
