EXCLUSIVE: See Lady Gaga’s Monster High Doll for the First Time

In case you haven’t noticed by the recent extreme lack of fancy sidewalk attire in day, Lady Gaga has been taking a hiatus from the whole pop superstar thing for a few years now in order to focus more fully on her acting career and her personal life.

But now, with the release of her first single in a year and her first album in three, the singer is back and already has her hand in a million different projects from prepping for a performance at the Super Bowl, to perhaps her most unexpected collaboration to date, designing a spooky doll version of herself (with help from her Born This Way foundation) for Monster High.

The doll, which has been named Zomby Gaga, was “styled” by the musician’s sister Natali Germanotta and inspired by one of the looks in her music video for “Born This Way.” The doll features a face painted like skull, long baby pink hair pulled into a high pony, a tuxedo suit, and black sunglasses, all while nonchalantly blowing a pink bubble. She also comes with a change of clothing for a less formal look, a “Born This Way” plaid shirt dress and a pair of fishnet tights.

The new doll isn’t just any old toy, however: Gaga also hopes it will inspire a social movement of kindness amongst her followers. As the Monster High dolls embrace everyone’s differences, the singer hopes her fans will join the #KindMonsters movement and sign the pledge on her website to commit to contributing to a more accepting world.

Elaborating on her involvement in the project, Lady Gaga said, “Born This Way Foundation is all about being yourself, loving who you are and being kind to others. I am so proud of my sister Natali for designing Zomby Gaga. Together with our mom and Monster High, we are excited to spread the values of love, kindness and bravery to young people around the world.”

The doll retails for $29.99 and will go on pre-sale on Monday, Oct. 17 at 9 a.m., just in time for you to pick up an early holiday gift for every little monster in your life.
