I kind of have a hate/hate relationship with my lashes. They're extremely straight and angled downward, which makes mascara all the more messy and frustrating to test out (and it's part of my job!). While I've since learned the joy of lash lifts, in which lashes get chemically permed to curl, before that I tested out every possible lash curler on the market. Not even the top-rated ones could keep my lashes upward-a single coat would make them droop in seconds. Just as I thought I was doomed for a life of invisible lashes, a unique offering from Tweezerman landed on my desk.
Call me basic, but the rose gold hue of the curler alone was enough to win me over. What impressed me even more is that Tweezerman has different curlers for different eye types. I used the one made for "almond-shaped" eyes like my own. I was delightfully surprised at how the curler fit against the shape of my lid so perfectly. I didn't need to curl it in different segments like I used to, and I didn't feel any uncomfortable pinching or prodding from the tool. All I got was that beautiful, close-to-the-root lift I always wanted. I also love that the curl stays all day without falling. Add mascara, and it actually looks like I had some falsies on.
