Eyes WAY too big for its belly: Giant python dies after gorging on a whole ANTELOPE

This is the gruesome moment a greedy python bit off more than he could chew when he died after eating an antelope - WHOLE.

The 20ft python thought the antelope would make an almighty meal but the animal proved to be its last ever supper.

Villagers in Baliavad, India, spotted the serene rolling around with an abnormally large belly having strangled and devoured the antelope just minutes earlier.

However, barely able to move the snake died just moments later.

Sunil Kumar, who witnessed the entire episode, said: “I found the python lying on the road. It was struggling to digest the animal it had swallowed.

Full up: The snake tried to regurgitate its meal before it died (Caters)

"It was one of the most spectacular moments I have ever witnessed as the python was unbelievably huge.”

Experts believe the snake tried and failed to regurgitate the antelope before it died.

Deputy Conservator of Forest R Senthilkumaran said: “It succumbed to the internal injuries caused by the swallowing the antelope.”

Pythons can go on for several weeks or months after eating a large meal.
