When can Max Verstappen win the 2023 drivers' championship?
The earliest the Dutchman can win the title is at the Qatar Grand Prix, which takes place from 6-8 October.
Verstappen leads team-mate Sergio Perez by 151 points heading into the Japanese Grand Prix. Should he win the race and record the fastest lap and Perez does not finish, there will be 177 points between them, with 180 still available.
Verstappen could then win the title in the sprint shootout in Qatar on 7 October.
