Fabre and d'Iberville Metro stations reopen after being closed due to safety reasons
Nearly a week after shutting down three Blue line Metro stations due to safety issues, Montreal's transit authority says two of those stations can now reopen.
The Fabre and d'Iberville stations reopened 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Société de transport de Montréal (STM).
The Saint-Michel station remains closed indefinitely.
Those three stations were shut down last Thursday during the evening after engineering teams found significant degradation of main beams above the walkway at Saint-Michel station. Given the location of track equipment needed for train turnarounds, Fabre and d'Iberville also had to close.
Crews were able to reconfigure the systems there so that trains could turn around at d'Iberville. Shuttle buses are expected to run from Saint-Michel to d'Iberville as work continues.
