Beauty editor status aside, I'm probably the last person you want to take false eyelash advice from. I've probably worn falsies maybe twice (?) in my life — not because I don't like 'em, because I love a good dramatic lash look — but mostly due to the fact that I've never come across a time/place in my life where falsies felt right. (It's coming, though, I can feel it in my beauty bones.)

With all that being said, that doesn't mean I don't appreciate a good hack to help extend the life of falsies. So does Huda Kattan, the beauty vlogger extraordinaire, who is here to help you wear (and re-wear) your falsies multiple times per pair (!) with a genius false eyelash cleaning hack so good we're wondering why we didn't think of it first.

In a recent Instagram video, Kattan shared her falsie cleansing trick, which requires the following tools: Tweezers (like her lip-covered Tweezerman tool), round cotton pads, cotton swabs (i.e. Q-Tips), and an oil-free makeup remover (she uses the O.G. Bioderma).

Here's how she does it: Before she gets to scrubbing, Kattan uses the tweezers to meticulously pull off dried lash glue from the lashes. From there, she gently places each lash on a cotton round and then douses it with the makeup remover. Once wet, Kattan tops the lash with another cotton round and lets it sit for about 30 seconds to soak up any dirt, oil, and remaining glue. As soon as the time is up, she swipes away any remaining residue with one end of a cleanser-soaked cotton swab. From there, repeat the process with the other eyelash.

And just like that, you've got yourself two good-as-new false lashes — without spending a single extra cent.
