Family Day 2016: What's open and closed in Toronto

It's Family Day again, a holiday in many provinces and territories around the country meant for relaxing and spending time with — you guessed it — family.

But since it's a holiday, a lot of places are closed, or are open for fewer hours than usual.

Here's what's open and closed on Monday:

What's closed:

Municipal buildings, malls & banks

All municipal buildings will be closed, including libraries, city buildings and schools.

Some malls are closed, including Yorkdale Shopping Centre, Scarborough Town Centre, Cloverdale Mall, Sherway Gardens, East York Town Centre and Fairview Mall.

Banks are also closed.

The LCBO and The Beer Store will be closed.

Transit

The TTC is running on holiday service, meaning that its trains, buses and streetcars will run on a Sunday schedule, starting at 6 a.m.
