The Kardashians fans are divided over news that Travis Barker moved to Calabasas to be closer to Kourtney Kardashian before they started dating.

In the latest episode of the new Kardashian-Jenner reality show, Kris Jenner revealed that Travis, who proposed to Kourtney in October 2021 after one year of dating, told her he had moved house specifically with his now fiancée in mind.

"Did I tell you the story of how he came over?" Kris asked her eldest daughter. "He goes: ‘Do you want to know the real reason why I moved to Calabasas?’ He said, ‘Because I knew [Kourtney] lived in Calabasas and I knew she was the love of my life.'"

Kris then recounted Travis saying, "'I didn’t even know her like that but I just knew if I couldn’t date her, be with her, because she was with someone else, that at least I could live by her.'"

Some fans are obsessed with the Blink-182 drummer's romantic gesture, with one writing on Twitter, "I can’t believe Travis Barker moved all the way to Calabasas because he knew Kourt was his soulmate" and "Travis Barker is such a sweetheart he melts my heart in these episodes #TheKardashians."

Others found it a bit strange, though, with someone writing, "Anyone else finds Travis and Kourtney’s relationship weird? Tonguing your partner in front of your mum. Moving to Calabasas because you want to be close to someone that you’re not dating.. Something seems weird!"

Another put, "I didn’t really care about this whole Travis/Kourtney relationship thing until it was disclosed that he moved to Calabasas just to be closer to her…. That’s f***ing weird."

Either way, so long as Kourtney and Travis are happy, that's what matters.
