Bachelor in Paradise is officially returning for another messy and deranged season, but this time we won’t get a rotating group of hosts. As a reminder, last season the show was hosted by David Spade, Lil Jon, Tituss Burgess, Lance Bass, and Wells Adams, and there’s been some speculation about (a) if ABC would do another round of rotating hosts and (b) if they’d just go ahead and make Wells the new BIP host like fans have been wanting. But nope! The host of next season is officially Jesse Palmer, and Wells is joining him as bartender.

Great! Cool! Okay! But it looks like some people aren’t thrilled with the choice to make Jesse (who hosts Bachelor and Bachelorette) host instead of Wells, and fans are making their feelings clear on Twitter with comments like “jesse is fine but we wanted wells to host. stop snubbing him” and “Ugh!@BachParadise @BachelorABC why can’t you do anything right?! Everyone wants @WellsAdams as the host not the bartender!”

I mean, at least Wells will be there in some capacity? Anyway, TBD which Bachelor and Bachelorette alums will be cast on the show, but apparently, ABC Entertainment President Craig Erwich mused, “When I think of some of the people they have in mind to come back for Bachelor in Paradise, I think it’s going to continue to be a very watched and very discussed block of programming on Mondays and Tuesdays.”
