Here’s who fans picked as the Stanislaus District’s football Player of the Week

Gregori High’s Trey Webb has had a great start to the 2023 high school football season.

In his second varsity season, Webb has developed a connection with starting quarterback Conner Bailey. Last week he had career highs in catches (4), receiving yards (118) and receiving touchdowns (3). This week, he put up another great performance to help the Jaguars earn a 41-23 win over Atwater. At 2-1, the Jaguars broke into The Bee’s most recent football Top 10 at No. 9.

The senior tied his varsity high of four catches and added 108 receiving yards and a pair of receiving touchdowns on offense. He also doubles as a defensive back on defense and recorded a tackle. The fans noticed, voting him The Bee’s football Player of the Week.

Webb finished first, earning 51% of the votes in the weekly poll. He came in ahead of Downey’s Noah Cruz and Escalon’s Donovan Rozevink who finished second and third, respectively.
