'Fashionista' dogs featured in engagement photos around Washington, D.C.

In uncertain times, we can always count on the power of love, especially when it is the love between two fetching young Instagram stars who recently got “engaged” and have the photos to prove it, according to their owner.

Sebastian, a French bulldog, and Luna, a pomeranian, are only three years old but already act like an old married couple, according to their human companion, Emily Abril.

“Luna adores Sebastian completely, even when he sometimes doesn’t return the affection,” Abril said. “He also is very much her protector and will push other dogs out of her way if they get to close to her.”

The owner of the dogs decided Washington, D.C., would be the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos. Some images posted to Instagram show shots of the dogs taken in front of the Washington Monument and blooming cherry blossom trees.

And, of course, co-coordinating outfits were necessary for this canine couple.

“They are, simply put, fashionistas in love in D.C.,” Abril told BuzzFeed.

And while their outfits might match, there is some disagreement about when the wedding will take place.

“Sebastian wants a fall wedding, Luna wants a spring one,” Abril said.
