Police hunt for suspects in fatal double shooting near Queen & Dufferin

Toronto man turns himself in to police after condo double shooting

Two people were found dead following a shooting on the 22nd floor of a West Queen West residence Sunday morning.

Toronto Police and paramedics were called at 7 a.m. to Lisgar St., a small street midway between Ossington Ave. and Dufferin St.

Emergency crews say when they arrived, both victims were found without vital signs.

Local residents were shocked by the crime, saying the violence was completely out of character for both the building and the quiet neighbourhood.

'Have an idea' on suspects

"We are investigating this as a double murder," said Toronto police Det. Tam Bui. "Right now they are only known to us as adult men. We are investigating their identification in order to make next of kin notification."

Police have identified witnesses, and are looking for anyone who might have additional information.

"We have information that there were several parties going on in the building last night," Bui said. "We do not know what connection the shooting might have to those parties.

"We have an idea and we have a direction," he said of the suspects police are hunting, but did not extrapolate further.

Police on the scene taped off the entrance to the parking garage of 36 Lisgar St.
