Father and son recreate childhood bathtime photo — and it’s just as awkward as you’d expect
It’s a photo that’s spreading like wildfire across social media, with some labelling it “sick,” “odd,” “disgusting,” and a few other cringe-worthy phrases. While others say people simply need to lighten up.
Tyler Walker and his father recreated a favourite childhood bathtime photo. Tyler, who is now a young adult living in Oregon, posted the image to Facebook and it has since went viral, racking up more than 22,000 reactions and 71,000 shares.

“We’ve both grown up a bit….” Tyler captioned the photo.
Tyler, who doesn’t appear to be wearing any clothes, is straddling his father while grinning into the camera. His father, who is clearly wearing shorts, is laughing along with his son.
Tyler told Yahoo Canada that his mom took the photo and the whole family was cracking up:
“My mom and dad have both always been my biggest fans. Supportive in everything that I do and love me unconditionally, no matter what. My dad was a good sport about the whole thing, my mom took the photo. We were all cracking up the whole time, and it will always be a fun memory that we will share forever.”
He says that he feels bad that some people aren’t lucky enough to have an as open and fun loving relationship with their families, but their negative perspectives will never get him down. The photos, however, did set off a host of comments across social media from “Gross” to “messed up” to “I’m at a loss for words.”
But Tyler says that society as a whole needs to lighten up. “There is nothing sexual about nudity,” he told us. “Laughter is the best medicine, and the world needs it now more than ever.”
Supporters of the photo recreation suggest that Tyler is just an eccentric guy.

“The fact that they are comfortable with taking a picture like that is absolutely awesome in my opinion,” one person commented under the Facebook pictures. “Even though I would never want to take a picture like that, not even with my siblings. But even if you personally don’t find it funny, it doesn’t mean you have to give them cr-p for having a different humour than you have.”
Another commented: “I can’t believe how much hate there is over this. If you don’t agree with it move on, just keep scrolling. If you knew anything about him or his family then you would know that they did this because they wanted to. His dad is wearing shorts, Tyler Walker is as crazy and eccentric as they come and I love it. This pictures bomb.com!
