Freshouse II has recalled Valencia oranges, lemons, limes, organic limes, and red potatoes over a potential contamination with listeria.

According to a statement by the Food and Drug Administration, who published the company announcement on Sunday, the recall was voluntarily initiated after the company’s routine internal testing identified the bacteria on a piece of equipment in one of their packing facilities.

These organisms cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

"We have ceased the production and distribution of the product that was packed on the equipment in question and are taking corrective actions and continually evaluating our cleaning and sanitation regimes," reads the statement.

No illnesses have been associated with this recall so far.

Last week, Publix and Giant Eagle joined a recall of onions linked to a salmonella outbreak affecting 43 states.
