On Sunday’s Welcome to Wrexham, Welsh football club owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were talking shop when they happened to walk by Reynolds’ old soundstage on the Fox Studios Lot. Reynolds broke out on the late-90s sitcom Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place which ran for 4 seasons on ABC.
The soundstage had what appeared to be a metal plaque featuring the various shows which filmed there. However, McElhenney pointed out that looks can be deceiving because the plaque is actually made of plastic.
Unfortunately the years haven’t been as kind to the plaque as they have been to Reynolds, who became a mega-star following the success of Deadpool. In fact, the star broke a piece of the plaque just by touching it.
“I mean, how much does it cost to put a real [plaque],” Reynolds asked. “I never felt it before…I feel so much less special. Thank you for that ice-cold bucket of humility.”
RYAN REYNOLDS: Yeah, this is the first soundstage I ever got to work on.
ROB MCELHENNEY: This is where you did--
RYAN REYNOLDS: "Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place." There's a plaque over here.
ROB MCELHENNEY: Yeah, let's find the plaque.
- On Sunday's "Welcome to Wrexham," Welsh football club owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were talking shop, when they happened by reynolds's old soundstage on the Fox Studio lot.
ROB MCELHENNEY: Here's the beauty of this. So you look at this and you think, wow, that's like a beautiful piece of, like, steel or bronze. It's patina. It's plastic.
RYAN REYNOLDS: No, it's [BLEEP] plastic!
- Reynolds broke out on The late 90s sitcom "Two Guys, a Girl and A Pizza Place," which ran for four seasons on ABC. And 27 years later, he broke the commemorative plaque.
RYAN REYNOLDS: Look at this fake--
ROB MCELHENNEY: Yeah. You [BLEEP] broke it. [BLEEP]
- Unfortunately, the years haven't been as kind to the plaque as they have been to Reynolds, who became a mega star following the success of "Deadpool."
RYAN REYNOLDS: How much does it cost to put a real-- I never felt it before. You're right, it's not even plastic. It's rubber. I feel so much less special. Thank you for that ice-cold bucket of humility.
