Feels like 106: Heat advisory in effect Monday in Miami-Dade and Broward counties
A heat advisory was issued Monday morning for Miami-Dade, Broward and Collier Counties.
The National Weather Service’s advisory will be in effect from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday. Local residents are advised to stay cool as hot temperatures and high humidity can make people ill.
Heat index values of 105-109 degrees across portions of Miami-Dade, Broward, & Collier Counties. The heat index in Miami can reach as high as 106 degrees and as high as 105 degrees in Fort Lauderdale.
