'Felt like an earthquake': Regina family shocked after driver crashes into home
A car rammed into two houses on a residential street in south Regina on Tuesday.
The Regina fire department says it responded to reports of the crash at 3:51 a.m. The vehicle hit two properties — one was boarded up as of later Tuesday morning and the other had a destroyed garage.
The vehicle also crashed into two parked vehicles in the garage, with one of the parked vehicles expected to be a total loss.
Firefighters say they extricated one person, who had minor injuries, from the crashed vehicle. They say no other injuries were reported.

Howard Garcia, who is in high school, is the oldest of four children who were in the house when the white-coloured car crashed into their garage.
"I was sound asleep and then, all of a sudden, it felt like an earthquake. I just hear a big bang and it shakes the whole house," he said.
Garcia said he and his family have been living in the home for the last seven years and nothing like that has ever happened before. He said there were seven people in the house at the time of the crash — his mom, dad, uncle and three younger siblings.
Garcia said he was "shocked" at the sight when he first walked out of the house after hearing the crash.
"If he hit us in the front of the house, our rooms are there side-by-side so who knows? I am just thankful that it hit where we weren't, so I'm just thankful we're safe," Garcia said.
Garcia said he hadn't slept since the crash. He said they're estimating the repairs will cost more than $150,000.
The Regina Police Service said an investigation into the crash is underway, but didn't provide information on the driver or any potential charges.
