A woman who was struck by a car while riding her bicycle in West Boise earlier this week died Wednesday night in a local hospital, according to the Boise Police Department.

The bicyclist was traveling eastbound on McMillan Road on Monday afternoon when a driver traveling northbound on Eagle Road struck the bicyclist, Boise police said. The bicyclist was transferred to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, while no other injuries were reported.

The Ada County coroner will identify the victim after notifying her family. Boise police continue to investigate the incident, according to a news release, and no charges have been filed as of Thursday afternoon.

The crash occurred near Lowell Scott Middle School at the McMillan and Eagle roads intersection. Boise police urged the public to stay away from the area following the incident. The collision caused no student delays or affected school bus routes, according to previous Idaho Statesman reporting.
