Female Teacher Arrested, Accused of Historic Child Sex Offences in Birrong

A 47-year-old woman was arrested and charged on December 11 for allegedly sexually assaulting a student 20 years earlier in southwest Sydney.

NSW Police said the woman was brought in following investigations of historic child sex offences against a 15-year-old student in Birrong. The woman, who was 27 at the time, was also accused of sexually assaulting another 15-year-old boy.

On Monday, the woman was arrested from her home in Padstow and taken to Bankstown Police Station where she was charged with 16 counts of sexual assault and five counts of indecency. She will appear in court on January 10. Credit: NSW Police via Storyful
